Fieldpiece Devices has awarded a complete of $17,500 in grants to seven deserving college students within the first spherical of its second annual #MasteroftheTrade scholarship program. A further $10,000 will likely be distributed to the six gold, silver and bronze medal-winning highschool and school/postsecondary college students that high the leader-board rankings of the Nationwide Management & Expertise Convention in June.
The scholarship, administered by SkillsUSA, goals to shut the expertise hole within the U.S. labor marketplace for the heating, air flow, air-conditioning and refrigeration trades by allocating funds to business up-and-comers to make use of for faculty tuition charges or postsecondary HVACR know-how program prices.
The seven achieved SkillsUSA college students named to obtain the preliminary spherical of funding for Fieldpiece’s second annual #MasteroftheTrade Scholarship are:
- Alabama: James Rogers, Alabama Military Nationwide Guard and Jason Rawls, Bevill State Neighborhood Faculty
- Massachusetts: Hunter Claflin, HVACR program at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical Excessive College
- Nebraska: Thomas Harling, College of Nebraska Lincoln
- North Carolina: Irma Gonzales, Central Carolina Neighborhood Faculty
- Oklahoma: Ben Williams, East Central College
- Tennessee: Stacey Hicks, Chattanooga State Neighborhood Faculty
