Hudson, LG Partner Up for Refrigerant Reclamation

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — Hudson Technologies Inc., which provides refrigerant products and services to the HVACR industry and is one of the country’s largest refrigerant reclaimers, is collaborating with LG Air Conditioning Technologies USA to supply Hudson’s Emerald Refrigerants to LG’s customer base.

The collaboration underscores the commitment of both companies to responsible and sustainable refrigerant management practices and highlights the industry’s transition to the use of reclaimed refrigerants, a press release from Hudson said.

LG Air Conditioning Technologies USA is a major company in the global air conditioning market, distributing both commercial and residential a/c and building-management solutions. Through the agreement, LG will leverage Hudson’s expertise in refrigerant recovery and reclamation to make lower-GWP reclaimed refrigerants available to LG’s customers, the press release said.

Importantly, certified reclaimed refrigerants match the in-system performance levels of virgin refrigerants, offering LG’s customers a seamless alternative to adopting cleaner refrigerants.”
