Monitoring System Streamlines Cloud-based Monitoring for UV HVAC Systems

The All-Spectrum UV Monitoring System from Aerapy provides convenient, real-time UV output reporting in critical airstream or in-duct disinfection and/or coil-cleaning applications. The patent-pending system automatically reports germicidal UV-C, LED-UV and Far-UV intensity levels, eliminating the need to manually check individual lamps and ballasts in multiple HVAC AHUs and ducts. This ability to customize UV alert set levels empowers building managers with precise UV performance data and easily integrates with most building automation systems.

If a lamp and/or ballast cease functioning, the system promptly alerts the user, ensuring the correct UV output levels are maintained for critical applications, such as healthcare, manufacturing, water filtration, and agriculture. Individual sensors are strategically mounted above, below, or directly facing each UV lamp and wired to a centralized gateway via a six-foot industrial-grade shielded cable. Each sensor features an adjustable aluminum mounting base, enabling precise adjustments between the sensor and the UV lamp. Each wireless gateway supports up to eight connected sensors and can transmit each sensor’s operational status to the cloud-based monitoring system using secure Wi-Fi, Ethernet or Bluetooth signals. Multiple Aerapy sensors and wireless gateways can efficiently monitor UV-C fixtures across numerous HVAC applications and locations.
