Daikin Applied Launches Global Data Center Solutions Group for Mission-Critical Cooling

Joining the lineup are the Pathfinder AWV-C Fan Deck and AWM Chiller, both designed to enhance performance in demanding environments:

• The AWV-C Fan Deck improves condenser airflow by 20% through an integrated single-component design; and

• The AWM Chiller combines oil-free magnetic-bearing technology with a next-generation fan deck, operating efficiently in ambient temperatures up to 135° F.

To support ongoing R&D, Daikin Applied is expanding its Test Lab near Minneapolis headquarters. The 71,000-square-foot addition will include nine new test cells to increase testing capacity for chillers and custom air handlers.

Daikin Applied’s acquisition of DDC Solutions adds modular, ultra-high-density hybrid and in-room rack-level systems to its offering. This integration enables the company to provide comprehensive white-space and plant-level cooling solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data centers.

Enhanced Manufacturing Capacity

To meet rising demand, Daikin Applied is expanding production through two new facilities:

• A modular solutions manufacturing plant opening in January 2026, focused on large-tonnage systems for scalable data center applications.

• A second Alliance Air Products (AAP) facility, which will double manufacturing capacity for custom air handling units following Daikin Applied’s 2023 acquisition of AAP.

These additions strengthen production capabilities and ensure on-time delivery for global data center projects.

Daikin Applied has also formed a Global Data Center Solutions Group, led by Greg Jeffers, vice president of Data Center Solutions. This team will focus on developing scalable, high-performance cooling ecosystems that protect critical infrastructure and support sustainable data center operations.

The new business unit will be supported by an expanded team of Solutions Architects specializing in complex cooling system design and integration.
