Delta Cooling Towers introduced its newest and largest cooling tower model at AHR Expo in Orlando in February, expanding its line of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) cooling solutions.
The new TMX series features a 20-foot-long seamless sump molded from a single piece of engineered plastic, designed to reduce maintenance issues commonly associated with joints and seams in traditional metal-clad towers.
“The TMX series is a game-changer delivering greater capacity along with all the benefits of engineered plastic cooling tower technology,” says John Flaherty, president of Delta Cooling Towers. “Its seamless design, energy efficiency, and customization options make it the most advanced and reliable cooling solution we’ve ever developed.”
The series meets ASHRAE 90.1 energy efficiency standards and offers cooling capacities from 300 to 3,250 cooling tons. The company provides a 20-year warranty on the corrosion-free engineered plastic casing, suitable for both industrial cooling and commercial HVAC applications.
To produce the new cooling tower, Delta has opened a manufacturing facility in West Virginia, equipped with what the company describes as North America’s largest molding equipment of its kind.
The TMX series includes direct-drive motor fans, which aim to reduce energy losses typically found in belt-driven or gear-drive systems. Additional features include optional antimicrobial resin treatment to prevent pathogen growth, including Legionella, and customizable color options to match facility requirements.
Delta Cooling Towers, which introduced HDPE cooling towers in the 1970s, continues to develop its cooling tower technology. The company manufactures high-performance, corrosion-resistant engineered plastic cooling towers, backed by warranties and customer service support.
