WILSON, N.C. — B&J Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, an HVAC and plumbing contractor in eastern North Carolina, recently broke ground for a new, 11,000-square-foot custom facility, having outgrown its current 3,000-square-foot building.
B&J has experienced rapid growth in recent years, with annual growth of between 25% and 30% over the past four years, a company press release said. After the team expanded from 20 to 63 employees, it began operating in part out of rented space.
The new facility will launch during B&J’s 50th anniversary and will give the company the opportunity to consolidate operations, open a dedicated technician training center, and store an in-house inventory to beat regional supply chain slowdowns, which will give B&J a competitive edge, the press release said.
Additionally, the new facility will be in a better location for B&J to accommodate its vehicles and office staff, as well as to host company meetings, visitors, and customers, the press release said.
