NADCA Issues Trademark Fraud ALERT

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ, NoV. 18, 2024– The National Air Duct Cleaners Association
(NADCA), the global authority on HVAC cleaning standards, is issuing an urgent warning to the
global air duct cleaning industry regarding a severe and malicious case of trademark fraud. An
individual affiliated with a NADCA Regular Member Company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has fraudulently trademarked the NADCA name in the UAE and is operating under the misleading title “NADCA
Systems.” This individual is promoting a fraudulent certification program that falsely claims
affiliation with NADCA. These certifications, marketed through nadcasystems.com, are
completely illegitimate, providing no recognized credentials. Professionals who trust this
program are being deceived, and their businesses and reputations are at risk.

NADCA CEO Jodi Araujo, CEM, warns, “This program provides no legitimate credentials, andthey are outright robbing professionals in our industry by falsely suggesting that this certificationis officially recognized by NADCA.” Araujo adds, “These actions are a flagrant betrayal of trustand a direct assault on the reputation and standards of the air duct cleaning community.”This individual’s actions are a blatant violation of NADCA’s trademark rights and Code of Ethics.By misusing the NADCA logo and falsely associating their fraudulent program and equipmentwith the organization, they are undermining the high standards NADCA has established over itsdecades of leadership.

NADCA reminds the industry that it does not certify or sell equipment and does not endorse
individuals or companies. Any use of the NADCA logo on such items is fraudulent. The
organization urges professionals to work only with NADCA-approved Associate Members who
adhere to NADCA’s strict Code of Ethics, ensuring trustworthy and ethical business practices.
NADCA calls on industry professionals and media outlets to help spread the word about this
fraudulent activity. If you have encountered “NADCA Systems” or any of their materials, or if you
suspect fraudulent activity, please contact NADCA immediately.
