Many of us prefer to heat our homes with natural gas rather than electricity. Here at Glow, we offer a wide range of heating systems, including gas ducted heating systems. Did you know that there are many rebates available to you if you’re thinking of connecting to natural gas for the first time or installing a natural gas appliance?
Already connected to natural gas?
From now until 31 July 2019, Australian Gas Networks is offering a $500 appliance rebate for installing natural gas heating. This offer applies to new natural gas heating appliances such as flued natural gas space heating, ducted natural gas central heating and natural gas hydronic heating. Note that this rebate does not apply to replacement appliances.
This rebate applies to our gas ducted heating systems. Plus, you can claim a maximum of one $500 rebate per appliance type, so that’s up to $1500 off!
There’s even a $100 appliance rebate for eligible existing home customers who install any other natural gas appliances such as:
- Supplementary hot water systems or heating
- Outdoor natural gas heating appliances (e.g. gas fire pit or table)
- Barbecue
- Cooktop, oven, or combination cooker
- Clothes dryer
- Pool/spa heaters
There is no limit to how many $100 rebates a connecting household can claim, however, the appliance must be fully connected for the rebate to be approved.
Interested in connecting to gas?
Australian Gas Networks offers free street connection to existing homes where a gas main runs past the property, plus a $500 connection bonus for new build customers in South Australia who install major heating appliances such as natural gas ducted central heating or hydronic heating, or natural gas flued space heating (e.g. decorative gas log fire or wall furnace). Each new build household customer can claim a maximum of one $500 rebate per appliance type.
New build customers in South Australia may also claim a $100 appliance rebate for the installation of any other natural gas heating appliance such as:
- Additional natural gas flued space heating (e.g. decorative log fire or wall furnace)
- Additional ducted central heating or hydronic heating
- Outdoor natural gas heating appliances (e.g. fire pit or table)
- Portable natural gas heaters
There is no limit to the number of $100 rebates a connecting new build customer can claim, however, the appliance must be fully connected for the rebate to be approved.
How do I redeem my rebate?
Glow is a participating rebate supplier in South Australia so we can supply and install your chosen natural gas appliance and then facilitate rebate payments from us to you – it’s that easy!
Alternatively, you can lodge your claim directly with Australian Gas Networks via their cashback website. You will need to have everything installed and connected before you lodge your claim with AGN. Approved rebates will be paid as cashback via electronic funds transfer, straight to your nominated bank account.
