GAITHERSBURG, Maryland — NEBB recently appointed Rodney R. Hinton, NEBB CP, as 2025–2026 NEBB President. Succeeding 2024–2025 NEBB president Michael Kelly, Hinton was named president by the NEBB Board of Directors at the 2025 NEBB Annual Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.
Since joining NEBB’s leadership, Hinton has been an active contributor across multiple areas of the organization. He has served on the NEBB Board of Directors since 2018, acted as Committee Chair on key NEBB committees, and contributed to the development of NEBB’s procedural standards and publications. His long-standing involvement reflects a deep commitment to strengthening the technical foundation and future direction of NEBB.
With over 45 years of experience in testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) and Commissioning HVAC systems, Hinton brings technical expertise to his NEBB presidency. He currently serves as executive director of Palmetto Air & Water Balance, LLC, where he oversees TAB and commissioning projects across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceutical, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, datacenters, educational, military, and commercial facilities. As a graduate of Greenville Technical College, Hinton holds NEBB professional certifications including testing, adjusting and balancing, building systems commissioning, and building enclosure testing and is also a past president of his local ASHRAE Chapter.
“Rodney has been a dedicated leader within NEBB for many years,” said NEBB Executive vice president Tiffany Meyers. “His extensive technical background, commitment to high standards, and service on the board have consistently helped drive NEBB forward. Each NEBB president brings new insights and energy to our organization, and we are excited for the direction Rodney will help lead us in 2026.”
Immediate NEBB past president Michael Kelly agreed, adding, “It has been an honor working alongside Rodney on the Board and within NEBB leadership. His depth of industry knowledge and steady commitment to our mission make him exceptionally well suited for this role. I look forward to seeing NEBB continue to grow under his guidance.”
“As NEBB President, my theme this year is ‘Remaining Resilient During Changing Times.’ Let us create the change we want to see by being in the room to not only learn new information, but to also teach and give back, because the best way to learn is to teach,” said Hinton. “I look forward to getting to know as many of you as possible this year, and plan to attend many chapter meetings. If we have not met, I encourage you to reach out to me. Or better yet, join us in Asheville, North Carolina at the 2026 NEBB Annual Conference this October 22–24.”
