BALTIMORE — Danfoss has appointed Rick Sporrer the director of indirect sales, North America, at Danfoss Climate Solutions.
Sporrer brings years of experience in distribution channel sales to his new role, in which he will lead a team focused on implementing and enhancing Danfoss’ distribution sales strategy, a press release from Danfoss said.
With more than 20 years of experience at Danfoss, including 12 years leading sales at Danfoss Power Solutions, Sporrer is the ideal choice to build relationships with current and existing wholesale partners, the press release said. Sporrer was formerly the president of the North America region at Danfoss.
Following a reorganization, Danfoss has strengthened its investment and focus on its aftermarket distribution strategy. Sporrer will work to build its distribution channel business and expand market reach, the press release said.
“Developing our business with wholesale partners is critical to Danfoss’ go-to-market strategy,” said Sporrer. “Wholesalers enable Danfoss to extend our coverage and reach within the North American market. The indirect sales team will focus on enhancing and implementing the distribution strategy, supporting our business goals, identifying businesses entering new market spaces, and leveraging synergies across Danfoss segments.
