Ritchie Engineering Mourns Passing of President & CEO Thomas Ritchie

BLOOMINGTON, Minnesota — With profound sadness, Ritchie Engineering announced the passing of its President and CEO, Thomas Ritchie, on March 2.

Ritchie began his career with Ritchie Engineering Co., Inc. on March 1, 1969. He worked diligently to understand the key ingredients for continued growth of the business his family started in 1949. Over the last 56 years, he leveraged that knowledge to expand and innovate product lines, while he developed an organization for consistent success.

During that time, Ritchie played a pivotal role in the HVACR industry, becoming a well- respected leader in the tools and test segment. He was the second generation of the Ritchie family to lead the company, and he led Ritchie Engineering through a fantastic growth period. Ritchie’s impact in the market, in the company, and in many lives will be felt for years to come.

It was Ritchie’s wishes for Ritchie Engineering to continue operating as the successful family business it has been for the past 75 years. His wife, Kristen Ritchie will assume the position of president of Ritchie Engineering Co., Inc.

Our deepest prayers and condolences go out Kristen Ritchie, the family, and Ritchie Engineering during this difficult time.
