Tip: Seal Your Service Valve Caps For A Leak Free System

It wasn't too way back I carried out a leak test on a few massive chillers.  I used my Testo 316-3 digital leak detector for the inspection.  I discovered no vital leaks, however what I did discover was attention-grabbing, with all service caps in place, many Schrader core valves registered a constructive studying, they had been leaking.  All of the cores and caps had been changed.  I used to be again on the website a few weeks later and located that a lot of these new Schrader cores had been setting off my 316-3 even with the caps in place, they had been the spherical brass caps with rubber o – ring insert.  I utilized Nylog Blue to some of those fittings, hand tightened the caps and the leaks disappeared.  Now, I apply Nylog to all service caps earlier than re-installing.  TX valve caps, sizzling gasoline bypass, solenoids, valve stems, ORI valve caps, and so on.
