Water Quality Research Foundation Kicks Off Summer Webinar Series


Free monthly webinars, sponsored by the Water Quality Research Foundation, are offered this summer and geared to stakeholders in water quality. Each WQRF Summer School session offers 0.1 Continuing Professional Development credit toward recertification for WQA-certified water treatment pros.

Upcoming webinars include:

Tuesday, June 18, at noon ET (11 a.m. CT). “The Future of PFAS” looks at EPA regulation, disposal management, the future of destruction technologies and how to create a more sustainable path forward in treating the “forever chemicals” in water. Presenters are Ashley Greene, EPA; Cindy Frickle, EPA; David Trueba, CEO, Revive Environmental and Angela Rodriguez, Ph. D, Applications Engineer, Calgon Carbon.

Tuesday, July 23, at noon ET (11 a.m. CT). WQRF research will be the topic and presenters will discuss the recently completed PFAS Surrogate Study. Dr. Madjid Mohseni will join to explain the investigation into the development of surrogate compounds that will cover multiple PFAS for product certification testing of water treatment media specific to POU/POE products.

Summer School commencement will be held in late August (date to be announced) with the release of the WQRF Call for Posters for 2025 and presentations from 2024’s winning submissions, specific to water treatment technologies and their use in treating lead and PFAS.
