Now that we’re in a new year, you may be looking ahead at what home projects are necessary. If a new furnace is on the list, you may wonder what the replacement process is like and how it will impact your daily routine. Here, we’ll cover some of the basics on furnace replacement and what the process looks like. This should help you feel ready and excited about getting your new machine installed.
The first step is to take a close look at your existing unit and what your home’s heating needs are. Our experienced team will recommend a system that not only works well with your home’s layout and size, but your budgetary guidelines, as well. We know that a new furnace is a big investment, and we want to make it as easy as we can for you to get what you need. Once you’ve selected a new furnace for your property, we’ll remove your old system. We’ll disconnect it, carefully remove any hazardous materials, and dispose of the old machine.
Next, we’ll look at your home’s ductwork and if anything needs to be changed or fixed, we’ll do that right away. We want to ensure there are no leaky ducts or other issues that will negatively impact the efficiency of your new machine. Then, we will start working on connecting the furnace to the existing ductwork, make sure it’s secure and all electrical and gas connections are safely installed and working properly. It’s important to note that the installation portion of the process is the most time-consuming. Depending on the size and complexity of your home, it may take one to two days to complete.
Once it’s fully installed, our licensed technicians will test it. We want to check to make sure things are running smoothly, that the air is flowing as it should, and that the system is calibrating to run at peak efficiency. If we notice any issues, we’ll work on fixing them so there aren’t any big problems in the future. Once it’s fully inspected, we’ll go over how to operate the machine with you and answer any questions you have.
Throughout each step of the installation process, we will work to minimize any inconvenience for you. We want to make things as simple as possible for you and provide professional guidance along the way! This will help you feel less overwhelmed and will ensure a smooth transition, so you can sit back and enjoy a warm and comfortable home.
