Lennox Opens 6,000-Square-Foot Commercial HVAC Florida Training Center

DALLAS — Lennox has opened a new National Account Services headquarters and training center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, expanding its commercial HVAC technician training efforts.

The facility includes a dedicated 6,000-square-foot training space for Lennox National Account Services technicians, managers, and field leaders. The space combines classroom instruction with hands-on training using commercial HVAC equipment and systems.

Training programs support several career pathways, including Skilled Technician, Advanced Technician, Lead Master, and Manager-in-Training. The programs are designed to help employees develop technical and leadership skills.

Lennox National Account Services also operates the Build-A-Tech apprenticeship program. The paid program lasts six to eight months and combines classroom instruction, field experience and mentorship.

Since 2016, Lennox National Account Services has trained nearly 1,600 technicians. The company said the programs are intended to help address the ongoing commercial HVAC workforce shortage.

“National account customers rely on Lennox to support critical operations across hundreds or even thousands of locations,” said Joe Nassab, executive vice president and president of Lennox Building Climate Solutions. “This investment strengthens the capabilities of our service organization and creates a dedicated environment where technicians and field leaders can sharpen their expertise and share best practices from across the network.”

Lennox National Account Services provides commercial HVAC equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement services for national customers. The company said its standardized service programs, technologies and workforce support equipment uptime and operational performance.

Lennox is also expanding its customer training capabilities. The company is constructing an 18,000-square-foot Commercial HVAC Experience and Training Center near its headquarters in Richardson, Texas.

The Texas facility will provide hands-on access to commercial HVAC technologies, controls demonstrations, and industry best practices. Lennox said the center is intended to help customers improve building performance and operational efficiency while learning about emerging HVAC solutions.

The new facility will expand Lennox’s existing customer training network. That network includes nine Lennox LIVE residential training labs across North America and a commercial refrigeration training center in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Together, the investments expand Lennox’s training resources for its workforce and commercial HVAC customers.
