TUSTIN, Calif. — The Sofia AI Thermostat from Nuve Controls is a smart-home-enabled Wi-Fi control, compatible with the Google Alexa system, that’s designed to support a wide range of residential and commercial HVAC systems while helping contractors stay connected with homeowners long after installation.
The thermostat is compatible with most HVAC systems that use a 24 Vac control circuit, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, traditional a/c equipment, and dual-fuel systems. It also supports humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and ventilators, as well as installations using a C-wire adapter because a common wire is unavailable.
Featuring IAQ monitoring, a modern round-screen design, an adjustable backlight display, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, and Common Wire Adapter (CWA) capabilities, the Sofia AI Thermostat provides homeowners with remote control through a mobile app, scheduling, vacation mode, and intelligent alerts for humidity, carbon monoxide, system efficiency, temperature extremes, and ventilation needs. The thermostat also monitors carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2e) levels and can notify users when ventilation may be needed.
Contractors can benefit from remote monitoring, diagnostics, and equipment performance-testing functions, plus advanced installer settings to simplify installation and service. The thermostat is designed to help contractors maintain connections with customers through mobile app access, service requests, and customer relationship management (CRM) system integration. During installation, technicians can authorize the device through an integrated workflow that can populate customer information from compatible CRM platforms.
Installer features include configurable compressor and auxiliary heat lockouts, emergency heat settings, adjustable temperature differentials, system run delays, minimum equipment run times, fan dissipation settings, and overcool-to-dehumidify operation.
The thermostat measures 5.2 by 5.2 by 1.17 inches and has a five-year limited warranty.
